EMA_FRAILTY project kicks off in Alicante (09/04/2025)

The EMA_FRAILTY project officially started with a successful kick-off meeting held on 8–9 April at the University of Alicante, Spain. Over the next three years (2025–2028), this European-funded initiative under the THCS Transforming Health and Care Systems programme will develop an advanced Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) system combined with Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) techniques.

Bringing together leading partners from Spain, Poland, Romania, and Italy, the consortium will work on smart sensor technologies, real-time data collection, and machine learning tools to detect frailty early and support personalised care for older adults in their own homes.

The kick-off marked an important first step for this collaborative team — setting out the work plan, research goals, and shared commitment to empowering healthy ageing. Stay tuned for more updates as the project moves forward!
